Seongbukdong is also known as the Beverly Hills of Seoul. Once you visit the area, you will instantly see why: The hills are covered with expensive houses and on the steep roads you only see the most exclusive cars. But Seongbukdong is not only a great place to live, but to visit too. It's an area where culture meets innovation and definitely worth visiting.
Here are our favourites
1. Nurungji Baeksuk
Started as a small food truck, their chicken hot pot became so popular, that they opened a restaurant. We only took pictures of the pancake. Once the chicken came out we were too busy eating. That says everything about how good it is.

2. Suyeonsanbang Tea House, former home of writer Yi Tae-jun
The perfect café to experience Korea the traditional way. It is a little bit challenging to get there, but once you get seated in one of the houses you'll know that it was worth it.
A must try is their sweet pumpkin bingsu.
